A better customer experience
Help visitors complete what they came to do.
Accessibility considers whether people with disabilities can perceive, navigate, and interact with your website. Usability considers how clearly and efficiently people can complete tasks. Both deserve attention when customers are trying to understand a service, request a quote, or contact your team.
ThePixel reviews agreed pages and customer journeys to identify barriers, explain their impact, and recommend improvements. Findings can guide updates to an existing website or become requirements for a redesign.
What we review
Look closely at the details that shape usability.
The review scope defines the pages, interactions, devices, and accessibility checks included.
Navigation & Page Structure
Review menus, headings, page organization, and link wording to see how easily visitors can find information and understand where to go next.
Readability & Visual Contrast
Assess text presentation, color contrast, spacing, and visual hierarchy. Consider whether important information relies on color alone.
Keyboard & Interactive Controls
Check agreed menus, buttons, dialogs, and other controls for keyboard access, visible focus, and a logical navigation order.
Forms & Error Messages
Review field labels, instructions, required fields, validation feedback, and confirmation messages so visitors can understand and complete forms.
Images & Content Meaning
Review image alternatives, descriptive links, and content structure. Identify where media needs additional text, captions, or other support.
Mobile & Customer Journeys
Examine agreed tasks across selected screen sizes, including zoom and layout behavior, to identify confusing steps or difficult interactions.

Common questions
Understanding accessibility and usability reviews.
What is the difference between accessibility and usability?
Accessibility addresses barriers that can prevent people with disabilities from using a website. Usability focuses on how easily people understand and complete tasks. A website can benefit from reviewing both, especially in important journeys such as finding a service or submitting an inquiry.
Can you review an existing website without redesigning it?
Yes. A review can identify targeted improvements to your current website. If larger structural or technical issues emerge, the findings can help your team decide whether a broader redesign is appropriate.
Do you use WCAG in the review?
Relevant Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) criteria can inform the accessibility checks. Your proposal defines the version, target level, pages, and assessment methods covered. A limited review does not establish conformance across the entire website.
Is an automated accessibility scan enough?
Automated tools can help identify certain issues, but they do not assess every aspect of accessibility or usability. Manual review of agreed interactions and customer tasks adds context that automated results alone cannot provide.
Does this service include usability testing with customers?
The standard scope is defined in your proposal. An expert review is different from research with recruited participants. Customer usability testing or testing with people who use assistive technology can be discussed as a separately scoped activity.
Can ThePixel implement the recommendations?
Implementation can be included or quoted separately after reviewing the findings, your website platform, and access requirements. Recommendations can also be shared with your internal developer.
Does a review provide legal compliance certification?
No. This service provides technical and user experience findings within an agreed scope. It does not provide legal advice or legal compliance certification.
